Millennium Park is located across Michigan Avenue from the Art Institute of Chicago, and features modern architecture and public art. One of its most famous landmarks is Cloud Gate, otherwise known as “The Bean” because of its shape. The sculpture reflects surrounding buildings and sky, creating amazing views that you have to see for yourself! There are also free concerts in the summer at the Pritzker Pavilion. And in the wintertime, there’s also a large outdoor ice skating rink.

The Art Institute of Chicago is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the country. Its extensive collection includes works by Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Jackson Pollock and many others. There are two main buildings: the Modern Wing features contemporary art; while classic pieces can be found in the older wing of the museum.

Wrigley Field has been home to the beloved team, the Chicago Cubs since 1916. This field is one of the oldest ballparks in America and was named after William Wrigley Jr., who bought a one fifth share of the club in 1921. Wrigley Field is known for its unique features such as a scoreboard that was constructed by hand and lacks an electronic board and video screen.

The SkyDeck Chicago is located on the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower, and is the second-highest observation deck in the United States. On a clear day, the SkyDeck allows its visitors to see four states; Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

It’s a great way to get oriented with the city. If you want a truly unique experience, The Ledge at SkyDeck extends out 4.3 feet from the 103rd floor, giving visitors a glass-bottomed view of Chicago 1,353 feet below.

The Museum of Science and Industry has over 35,000 artifacts from cultural history from all over the world. It’s reported to be the largest science museum in the country. The museum also includes a 3D movie theater and multiple exhibits such as a seven-story domed OMNIMAX Theater, a coal mine, and an authentic German U-Boat.

The Magnificent Mile is a fancy name for Michigan Avenue, which runs north-south through downtown Chicago. This area is a shopping heaven, with more than 460 retail stores, 275 restaurants and 60 hotels. It’s also home to many notable attractions like the Wrigley Building, Tribune Tower, and Water Tower Place, one of Chicago’s premier shopping destinations.
