— Coverage Area: To avoid surprises, make sure to check the specific routes and services included in the pass. Although, in our experience, most areas for tourists within the Jungfrau region are included except for peaks such as Jungfraujoch.
— Reservation: For popular excursions like Jungfraujoch, consider making reservations in advance to secure your preferred travel times.
— Documentation: Keep your pass and identification handy while traveling, as occasional random checks may occur during your journeys.
What if you have the Swiss Travel Pass?
Getting the Jungfrau Travel Pass might still be beneficial, especially if you’re staying in the Jungfrau region for an extended period. However, if you’ll only be in Jungfrau for a day or two, the Swiss Travel Pass may be enough.
– Swiss Travel Pass: Offers discounts for cable car rides and mountain excursions. Includes travel by train, bus, and boat. Does NOT include mountain excursions.
– Jungfrau Travel Pass: Beneficial if staying in the Jungfrau region for an extended period. Includes travel by train, bus, and boat in the Jungfrau region. Also includes mountain excursions except Jungfraujoch.
– Recommendation: Plan your itinerary first. The more days you spend in the Jungfrau region and the mountain excursions you include, the better value you get from the Jungfrau Travel Pass.
