This Madame Tussauds branch is the newest one in North America, and the only one in the world that is dedicated solely to celebrating music legends.

Located in the Opry Mills mall in Nashville, this attraction gives both locals and tourists the chance to take a stroll and step into the spotlight with these legendary music icons.

With so many museums to choose from, should visiting Madame Tussauds be on your Nashville bucket list?

Here are five reasons why you should visit Madame Tussauds Nashville:

1) It’s not all country at Madame Tussauds Nashville — they’ve got all musical genres

We’re sure many Nashville tourists must be expecting to see only wax figures of country music artists.

Here’s a pleasant surprise though–there are plenty of other musical genres represented, too!

As you go through, there are a variety of themed zones, complete with more than 50+ musical icons from different genres including country music, rock ‘n’ roll, jazz, pop, etc!

We saw legends such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Kenny Rogers, Elton John–alongside some younger and more recent chart-toppers such as Bruno Mars, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and more.

2) The wax sculptures are often rotated and updated

Unlike some museums, the wax sculptures are frequently rotated, so each visit is almost always guaranteed to be unique.

After all, the music scene changes constantly, and thankfully, this wax museum is able to keep up.

During our research before this trip, we found plenty of fan photos online.

We were delighted to see that some figures changed spots though and some even changed outfits. There were also new figures that were added to the collection.

By the way, the average tour through the museum takes between 60 and 90 minutes to complete. You may, however, take as little or as much time as you need to see the entire attraction.

3) You get to be up-close and interactive with the wax figures

The word “museum” usually gives people the impression that they shouldn’t touch anything. However, Madame Tussauds Nashville has always set out to change that perception by creating more immersive exhibits and interactive settings.

The staff actively encourages guests to fully engage with the figures! You are allowed to take as many selfies with celebrities–provided you don’t touch their faces, of course.

There are intricately-designed sets such as the Bluebird Cafe, the Opry and other realistic stage scenes–it was easy to imagine ourselves actually being with the real deal celebs. Of course, the music also set the mood. The musicians’ songs played in the background, and some even had their voice tracks talking back to you as you enter the room.

Our friends seriously had to do a double-take when they saw some of our photos, thinking we really were backstage jamming with the stars.

4) They’re keeping guests safe and comfortable

Madame Tussauds says they’re committed to following all current safety protocols and deep cleaning measures to make the attraction safe for all visitors.

During our visit, we saw all of that first-hand. There was an ample amount of visible sanitizing stations and signs reminding people about social distancing.

According to their website, they’ve also reduced their capacity to give everyone enough space and make it more enjoyable for guests.

What’s more, we liked that there was a restroom around halfway through the exhibit–which made it very convenient for those who would prefer to take their time around the museum.

5) They have promos to help you get the best deals

To get the best deals and discounts, we suggest you check online. Madame Tussauds sometimes offers discounts on tickets if you book online.

Occasionally, there are also various promos and combo tickets available. In Nashville for example, there is the Wax & Wine combo ticket that gives you both admission to Madame Tussauds and an exclusive wine tasting. After your wax museum visit, this ticket lets guests aged 21 and up enjoy 5 tastings from the Amber Falls Winery & Cellars Nashville, also located in Opry Mills.

Bottom line for Madame Tussauds Nashville

It’s totally worth it to visit!

Since it’s also just across the legendary Grand Ole Opry, it’s a perfect add-on to a music-filled day in the Opryland area.
