The state of New York really is one of the perfect places to start your journey. And it probably is on your bucket list for one main reason alone, New York City. The city is a metropolis of skyscraper buildings, amazing sites like the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. Florida is one of the most popular states to visit in the US, and perhaps mainly for the thrill that is Orlando. With Walt Disney World, and some of the other amazing theme park options, there really is so much to see and do here, that you would be spoilt for choice. However, there is more to Florida. Miami has a real slick vibe and The Everglades are definitely a tourist attraction worth visiting if you love your wildlife adventures.

Colorado is a Western state and possibly not one that would normally spring to mind if you were planning a US vacation, but it actually has a lot to offer. Especially if you enjoy hiking or more active pursuits. The Rocky Mountains national ark really is a treat and with excellent accommodation options like the Super 8 Montrose, there really is something to offer for everyone. The largest city in Colorado is Denver, and it dates back to the Old West era. The oldest block even features 19th century architecture.

California is another popular state thanks to Los Angeles and San Francisco. Many like the idea of a road trip in California, giving you the opportunity to explore some of the other places on offer. Depending on where you are in the state, you can easily take a road trip to visit places like Yosemite, Orange County, Monterey, Napa Valley, Santa Barbara, Solvang, Malibu, San Diego and Silicon Valley for example. You can even hop on one of the bus tours that can take you for quick weekend excursions to Nevada and Arizona.

Heading South will bring you to the state of Texas. This state has very mixed terrain including forest and pine which is mixed with desert. Whether you like the idea of people watching in San Antonio (and who doesn’t like those laid back days) where you can sit and relax in a riverside cafe in a fantastic multicultural city, or you want to take advantage of some of the best live music around in the capital of Austin, there really is a lot for everyone in Texas. Finally, who wouldn’t love the chance to visit NASA in the city of Houston?
