Explore the floating markets

Thailand is unlike any other country on this planet, and offers tourists the chance to embark on a one-of-a-kind adventure that will allow you to leave with a smile on your face!

What makes this country so unique is that they don’t follow the rules. While other countries offer tourists the chance to wander around their markets to check out their trinkets and traditional products, Thailand does things a little differently.

Located on the outskirts of Bangkok are dozens of floating markets where locals sell goods from small boats floating in the river. You will be able to check out traditional produce and mingle with the locals.

Experience a Full Moon Party

Even if you’re not the partying type, no trip to Thailand would be complete without experiencing one of their iconic Full Moon Parties. It’s almost like a rite of passage!

Backpackers and tourists alike travel in their hundreds to the famous island of Koh Pha-Ngan  – which is notorious for hosting some of the biggest and baddest Full Moon Parties in Thailand.

If you head to the main town of Haad Rin, you will be able to immerse yourself among hordes of people who are looking to party the night away with their buckets and facepaint in tow.

Try out the delicious and unique street food

We make it our mission to taste the traditional cuisine of each country we travel to, and the best way to do this is to take to the streets and try out the delicious street food!

Food carts and stalls can be found on nearly every made street in the country, but if you want to try the best of the best… you just have to take a trip to Bangkok.

While they sell everything from noodles to rice, curries and more, you can truly make the most out of your Thailand adventure by checking out one of the many bug carts. There you can snack on delicacies such as grasshoppers, locusts, scorpions, crickets, bamboo worms and giant water bugs. Yummy!

Put on your flippers and learn to dive

Many tourists specifically travel to Thailand to learn to dive or even obtain their PADI qualification – and it’s not hard to see why!

With some of the most incredible waterways in the world, Thailand offers visitors the chance to see a different side of the country from below the surface. Koh Samui is an example of an island that serves an excellent base to explore all of Southern Thailand’s majestic dive spots.

Although you might miss the hustle and bustle of the cities, diving underneath the crystal clear waters of Thailand will introduce you to beautiful coral reefs, deep caverns, amazing creatures and more. Once you’re done, you can catch your breath on some of Thailand’s most incredible beaches.

Check out the amazing temples

Although it’s always fun to wander through the markets or explore underwater worlds, one of the best ways to make the most of a Thailand adventure is to learn a little more about the culture, and this can be done by checking out the amazing temples in the country.

With their bright colors and intricate architecture, these world-famous temples attract millions of visitors each year and are a great way to explore a little more about the Buddhist faith.

Thailand is indeed a very vibrant and colourful country. What is amazing is the range of experiences it has to offer travelers. From exotic islands and beaches to spiritual temples to cuisine, it seems to have everything. We have been in Bangkok and Pattaya and a couple of islands and had a great experience. The other factor that draws us to Thailand is the great warmth and hospitality of the people.
