Arizona: Mother Nature’s Power On Display

You might know the state of Arizona, or as most people know, it’s where you can find the largest canyon in the face of the earth.

The staggering Grand Canyon is one of the main reasons why you should come visit this part of the world. You truly don’t get a real feeling for the sheer magnitude of the canyon until you have seen it with your own eyes.

The power of what mother nature can do is on full display here, it’s inherently bucket list material.

However, Arizona has much more to offer as the state has been the testing ground for many aircraft and even space exploration. Here you will find projects that were once top secret, now on display for all the public to study.

Since you also have a large Spanish speaking population here, you have some of the best South American food you can eat. Perhaps this state doesn’t have the myriad of street food stalls that maybe New Mexico or Texas does, but you’ll find wholesome family run and owned restaurants that serve feel good food with big portions.

You just have to see it

It’s around 5 to 6 million years old. It reaches out to 277 miles.

You could fit the tallest building in the world inside it and still not see it peak above the line. It’s 4 miles wide at the most narrow part and around 18 miles at it’s widest.

Of course, this is the description of the Grand Canyon. It’s simply astonishing in size and shows what millions of years of erosion whether by moving water or wind can do. It’s amazing to see in person because even the numbers aforementioned don’t do it justice. It’s also over a mile deep, with the floor of the canyon 1,857 meters from the top.

It’s all on the house

You’ll need somewhere to stay that allows you to relax after a long day of travelling. This is because the best places to see in Arizona are many miles apart so you’ll be driving for most of the day.

Not to worry however, as you have many complimentary amenities at thi hotel in Prescott. You have free access to the outdoor swimming pool, as well as the picnic tables and chairs in the backyard. In the morning you are served a complimentary breakfast where you can choose from Danishes, eggs, sausages, bacon, toast and fruit yogurts to name a few things. In your room you have high speed WiFi that’s again, completely on the house. You can drop off your dry cleaning items at the front desk and have them ready in a short time. If you ever need to ask about anything, the front desk is open 24 hours.

A little place

While you’re here, you should try the authentic Mexican food at the Arizona Mexican restaurant. At this little place, you get toasty fajitas with spicy chicken, a mixture of olives, beans and rice with herbs, and a cold beer to cool off in the heat.

The best places to experience in Arizona are sometimes separated by miles and miles so having a place to stay where you can let your hair down is essential to stopping your body from getting tired. You’ll never forget the staggering size of the Grand Canyon once you see it, it’s truly bucket list worthy.
